Street art: Banksy a dissident very happy of the bourgeoisie. Ls Exploration

Urban art: Banksy's anti-hero. author of the entry: Brainwashed Poet

who have some idea of what street art, graffiti or stencil Don Banksy known as an Englishman born in the mid Bistrol seventies. Is a veteran who is dedicated to stencil (stencil) and has become famous because the quality of his works (in design and message) which are already in several countries. Supposedly nobody knows his true identity which gives a fascinating antihero halo at various levels.

Banksy certainly is much more than a graffiti artist, his stencils always sharp social criticism or sarcastic have affinities with the anti-globalization and anarchist ideology, his style is called Gerrilla art. Example of his work are challenging its rats and monkeys with guns or dropping by parachute, or the Mona Lisa with a bazooka, or kissing the British police, or the guy holding police for writing on the wall "I fought against the system ... and I won ", or murals in the West Bank barrier protest.

But in addition to his work with the can, Banksy has made other "works" that take you to a level closer to the avant-garde that vandalism in public places: for example managed to introduce their works clandestinely, several major museums including the Museum of Natural History where he introduced a fake cave painting in which a man, drawn to the primitive style, walks with her cart of groceries (the work was time there without autoriadade visitors or notice it). Besides making sculptures like the one unveiled at an event, the sculpture represented Justice as a prostitute with panties and all business .

His last works are more conceptual, in a managed intrudicir a inflatable doll represents a Guantanamo detainee at Disneyland and stood in front of a roller coaster, on another occasion purchased 500 Paris Hilton records and altered by changing the face of a dog, writing messages in the booklet as "Every CD you weitere events buy puts me out of your league " even changed the disk and put another shot by a DJ friend in which the girl passes Hilton unineuronales saying their phrases like" That's hot "over and over again to the rhythm of electronic music. Once altered discs, Banksy surreptitiously put them back in stores. In addition to these actions Banksy has also had exhibitions idnviduales with guests, some wine and the whole show, as made famous in the U.S. where got a live elephant, painted the color of wallpaper paste on the wall symbolize poverty (huge and in front of us but it seems that no one sees).

However, there are few who qualify as "sold" having worked for MTV and Adidias, besides his works have been purchased by so revolutionary and counter people like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Keanu Reeves or the very Christina Aguilera who paid the modest sum of 25,000 pounds by Banksy's work in representing the Queen of England plan with another chick lesbian. The contradictions are evident and within the counter-world people like the Space Hijackers or Splasher (New Yorker controversial graffiti artist who will talk soon in this blog) have attacked its contradictory position how can criticize the system if you sell while the price of gold boxes?, "Hilton may be attacked while Aguilera accept a check? ... certainly a very comfortable dissenting for the system, no doubt Sell rebel, what are you saying?.

How To Redice Facial Sweeling Wisdom Teeth

Holy Family Parish.

About eleven o'clock at night and I had finished all the money was not metrobus card, which I recently had served at that time and still had the flavor of onions and beer Alicia's warm. To download the wire and if I felt like urinating in the road, I went home slowly through the streets of Rome, looking for some of its parks. Just before the Plaza Rio de Janeiro (where for some strange reason is a copy of Michelangelo's David), I got scared, intrigued and finally annoy your frivolous architecture, this parish.

is the Jesuit parish of the Holy Family, located on the corner of Orizaba and Puebla. Built in 1910 by architect Manuel Gorozpe, presumed currents of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, finding a mixture of Gothic and neo-Romantic in its facade, crowned by its clock tower. Inside, he tells me the next morning charged with addressing the visitor in the vestry, whose name escapes me but I must say that I tried very friendly, even a little uncomfortable, there are some beautiful stained glass made in Italy to tell biblical passages. I had no chance to see them, even building seemed less impressive day.

Words For A Friends Wedding Card

Urban art: words to the rhythm of danzón

Urban art: Danzon points rate
Location: Fray Servando Avenue and Congress City

Author: Author unknown

scan: Brainwashed Poet

Many believe that urban interventions are only juvenile expressions, well, they are wrong, in fact urban art is something not so new and has for decades made (half century), but hey that's not the point of this post, but what I found in the park of leading journalists (Fray Servando y Union Congress City). A few months ago (I think) there exist dance courses, here in the park, homeless and without scenario, with the simple desire and a portable radio. Someone came up to hang these signs in the surrounding trees, creating an atmosphere, through phrases (some celebrities and others probably of the same dancers in the park), which brings to mind (or in the case of the most brats, imagine) that quiet time in which the rhythmic dance of danzón marked the passing of the nights in the city.

Bible Verses To Put In Thank You Cards

Exploration: Two games in Berlin.

Exploration: "Old water pump"
Ubiación Street Bredowstraβe, Berlin
Author: Helikia.

was my first day in Berlin and I was a little nervous, as always chaotic reach an unknown country. The goal then was to find a hostel, tremendous feat especially if you speak German and do not know the bus route, but fortunately, contrary to what they say about the Germans, we came across a couple that to our faces viejillos missing children came to our aid, showing the right path to what would be our home for a "long" days.

The streets of Berlin in structure are similar to ours, but undeniably the atmosphere is completely different, because they are nostalgic streets, where the prevailing green of the trees and litter, where people walk like ghosts in a complete silence, which tends to be interrupted from time to time by the wind (which is curious because it is a neighborhood of students). As we walked through the streets, people in the Turkish coffee (which certainly abound in this neighborhood called Moabit) snoops watching us while smoking their water pipes, and was right in front of a cafe that I found it, While there, upright plant, silent witness of the past, claiming the space was there, knowing to be a retiree, having new to adapt to it and causing admiration of strangers. A few days after I left, but I'm sure that if ever I return, she will be there with the same position in which I found superb.

Exploration: "Looking through the eye to the past"
Ubiación: The Berlin Wall.
scan Author: Helikia.

After a while I missed the intricate German metro lines, where the seasons are not monkeys, and also all the stations have names like: Schillingstraβe, Schönleinstraβe Gneisenaustraβe and I arrived at my destination, the famous Berlin Wall which fortunately is preserved only a few meters. I say fortunately because it has become a living testimony of the atrocities can be committed in the name of irrationality dehumanized.

As you admire the graffiti and the odd mark left by visitors, I found that little window and oxidized by the passage of time and covered with herbs, which looked toward the river, the truth was a pleasant surprise, because he had already walked a bit and all I saw was a pile of bricks on bricks and with other other bricks, covered with paint mixing and makeup that made images of condemnation of what happened, put pictures in the hope anymore. As for me, I guess someone else also, that window will brighten your day ... or even a night, but I'm sure, is that that window was the cause of several deaths.

after seeing that little eye that looks to the past, I kept walking and looking at the graffiti, when I came upon an open porch How many in our ignorance, we wondered who's behind the wall? Her response to me, and then that I look, and how he he! Find a site where a BAR was a lot of repression, and not only that, it was a bar with an artificial beach, an ideal place to "socialize" this beach is frequented mainly by the native German, which seeks the afternoon sun coloring her white meat, sitting with crowns on their hand and say prost!

Street art: Blu the Terrible.

Urban Art: Blu, an Italian artist in Mexico.
Post Author: Brainwashed Poet.

Urban space is boring. The houses are all similar, no one has to pay a good architect, graffiti bored or overwhelmed with their poor quality and its endless repetition (copying talentless teenagers and over again). You turn a corner and you find miles of publicity, blablabla, sex, blablabla, consume.

However there is always something beautiful or at least disconcerting to see, for example, the new global trend, the Street Art. I will not be condescending in Mexico most of the street art is shit, sticket, sticket, stencil, ugly or foolish, the fool who sticks his ninjas, or other che faces or eyes cassetito, is a mediocrity terrible. Of course there are always exceptions to brighten up the space but this time not speak Mexican artists but an Italian who went ago bit here: Blu, who has a very particular way of understanding the painting on the wall, he does not use paint spray, he uses rollers, he does not write lyrics twisted, he creates a giant monster mythology bald men. His work is fantastic as both policy (although their messages are not as obvious as those of Banksy, for example) and always monumental, has toured Europe and America creating monsters in the collapsed buildings of the metropolis (never paints the funds but leaving the texture and the actual colors of the sduperficie) and has done collaborations with other greats like the veteran (although for my taste not so good and has lost its way) Obey (that of Andre the Giant stickets http://obeygiant.com/ who incidentally already said in the Carrillo Gil). Undoubtedly Blu is one of the finest examples of street art and I like in particular by their distance graffiti style and even typical stencil, his works are more related to illustrators of children's stories or Germans and Italians always adding a touch disturbing.

Blu, along with Lorenzo Fonda created a project called MEGUNCIA-Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Argentina ( http://www.megunica.org/ ) in which he documented with video and photography his Latin American tour. In Mexico Blu cruised Mexico City, Puebla and Merida.

These are some of the works he did in Mexico:

Name exploration: Abandoned house

Location: Av Revolution.

scan author: Mary Ethyl

is said that in the areas west of the city on summer afternoons have always been cool, I do not know, the whole city seems like a furnace from 12 to 5 at any time of year, unless it's raining today. I left around noon in search of a bar located on Avenida Revolución and a minor street where my father say, make a seafood soup as hell, so as not to be alone with his words that I was to meet soup.

had tasted worse really, but if it was really bad. After 2 beers and 2 tonics decided to return home. I passed the fire station in the area, which will be described in further exploration, weaves through the streets and neighborhoods that they forget the maps and real estate at the time to convince their unsuspecting customers to buy new apartments with roof garden and gym in the common area of the newly opened and multifunctional building somewhere, I also passed by an evangelical church that's absurd position, fortunately no one knows exists, and so on until I found this house, forgotten in the núermo 118, Street Science, between Jose Maria Vigil and Constitution Street, in the Escandon.

Without further reference, the images indicate time of abandonment. The facade worn, broken glass, autumn caught in the windows, garbage welcoming visitors, the roof of the hall and its focus, loyal companion, waiting to nothing demolish four pots on the balcony inside, proud witness to the occupation will soon undergo its small space at the hands of the unstoppable weed. A thick chain step defending against foreign time.

Good Weaving Salons In Brooklyn

Urban Art, stencil and graffiti: Tlalpan to the beam.
Ubiación: several (Tlalpan, beam, shaft 3).
Authors: several
Photographed, reviewer: Brainwashed Poet.

Asking "what is art?" Is not only snob but is also silly and anachronistic. Since the late nineteenth century the traditional concept of art (if you think about it did not last So understood, the idea of art as understood until the nineteenth century actually lasted a few centuries) began to change due the challenges were imposed by the vanguard. Now that almost anything (or nothing) can be art, wonder what is art and what not, and does not help, worth more, as claimed by some contemporary philosophers ask: when is art ?, or, better yet, what is art?, or even better (here comes my malice sociological) who decides what is art and what is not? And what is your opinion as valid for me, Ecuadorian immigrants in Spain for my craft Zapotec, for my graffiti Scotland, to my South African sculptor?

Something that is clear is that contemporary art is open, confusing, dark, cheerful, frivolous, spiritual, all at once: we value Daiman Hirst, but also to Toledo, the painting is accepted detailed, cast aside or industrial waste in a gallery, anything goes and everything is fleeting, in this sense the contemporary art is closer to the fashion and advertising to high culture, art is cool , and its consumers are nice (and use words like cool and nice ) are prepared to be challenged within the sterile and ateamente sacred white cube gallery.

And what does all this verbal garbage? Well beside the point as an introduction to speak of street art, half a century some artists have chosen not to limit his work to galleries, either for political or (anti) aesthetic-taking to the streets for use of canvas for their works and happenings arise street, urban interventions, art posters, etc. is wide and varied the amount of current artists that have chosen the street as not attempt to list them and I will focus on that interests me: graffiti, and the stencil. As is known from the late sixties began to see the first graffiti on the streets, graffiti that began being distorted sentences became in letters, nicknames, and drawings. Soon the graffiti from Brooklyn and the Bronx would be of interest for art, while some graffiti artists were interested in contemporary art at that time was as a guru to Warhol. A rate of Punk Rock and Rap Graff was going to galleries. writers as Crash, Daze Zephyr or rapid recognition had still enduring Daze graffiti today can be worth 60, 000 pesos ( http://www.webgallerynyc.com/daze.html ). So soon emerged ambitious artists such as the collective Colab, or Basquiat (SAMO) or Keith Haring ( http://www.haring.com/ ) who took the graffiti to other latiudes.

Graffiti parallel with the rise of the ghetto, there was also the stencil with spray used for artistic purposes, in Mexico, such as arts groups or Marco Sum hows dissidents were using this medium in the seventies. Since the beginning of the XXI century has been a revival of stencil worldwide usually associated with political issues (consider the example of the stencils in Oaxaca between 2006-07), undoubtedly the most famous stencil artist is Banksy, who has also entered the world of art galleries, while still painting in the streets (Web Banksy; http://www.banksy.co.uk/ ). There is a huge amount of artists who have even managed to give new meaning to urban space, making your work is not only the stencil itself but the context in which it stands, the space as part of the work, as in this disturbing work made in the Bronx, prepared in view of Reagan's visit to that neighborhood Puerto Ricans and blacks:

In Mexico there are also interesting proposals, such as this "work" I found myself Tlalpan Avenue (specifically lowering the bridge Axis 3).

"anything interesting?, Closer:

far from there I found another piece near the graffiti (although the technique used is mixed, stencil, spray and brush-brush ) by Smith Sener around the perimeter of what appears to be a factory or a printing press (on Calle Jose A. Torres).

clutching

A few there I found the Flying Circus (distribution center of art and culture ) and walls I found this picture made, apparently, strokes and brush strokes.
